- Will require the ability to shutdown the native baseband
- Will require direct access to the GSM/UMTS radios
- Will require the ability to launch an alternate baseband that implements a high performance loopback mode via the air interface
- Will require some serious signals analysis and real time processing (I'm thinking I'll need to use the DSP)
- Will provide a unique augmented reality service not likely to ever be done on Android and legally not possible on the iPhone (due to hardware/baseband access)
- Will have the side effect of placing your device in off-line mode while using the app
