CompCon

Once upon a time I ran a small two-man computer shop loving called The Computer Connection. What started as a hobby became a livelihood and eventually afforded my college education.

I've had an itch to develop for mobile devices for years and now I have begun to scratch that itch. Using the Madde development environment I have started three projects targeting the N900.

As development gets further along I will dedicate my efforts to just one project at a time and will release information on this site (as well as garage.maemo.org).

Nokia N900 and Maemo5

My development efforts are currently focused on the Nokia N900 mobile computer.

Running Maemo5, the N900 is more like a very small netbook than it is a mobile phone; despite being equipped with a full telephony stack and working/looking much like a mobile phone.

Nokia and Intel anounced recently that their efforts on Maemo and Moblin (respectively) will be combined into a single ecosystem supported by both companies; this new platform is called MeeGo and everything I develop for the N900 should run just fine when you all go out and buy a shiny new MeeGo device this fall/winter.
